Scientific randomness in the universe goes beyond particles at the molecular level and can extend to everything we encounter in our lives. Random Library Book is a series of my walks down different library aisles and I randomly pick out a book. I bring light to books that might otherwise get lost in the large repetitive physical aisles of a library.
Five Miles Away, A World Apart: One City, Two Schools, and the Story of Educational Opportunity in Modern America By James E. Ryan This book was published by Oxford University Press in 2010 at 384 pages and is about the fight between Urban and Suburban schools and the obvious disparities between them. The book discusses opinions from precedence in educational law, research and interviews. For those interested in segregation in American school systems, the failed legal programs and thoughts on innovative ways to fight them.
